I’ve personally been waiting to write this one for a longtime. Los Angeles band 9Electric have been working their ASSES off since 2011 with nonstop touring – Gaining new fans with each show they’ve played by delivering an absolutely high energy fun pure rock ‘n’ roll experience backed by electronics and dance influenced grooves. Every song is short, sweet, and to the point with catchy choruses to sing along to and kick ass little riffs. It surely doesn’t hurt that they’re good looking dudes and write songs about the ladies, for the ladies, or because of the ladies.

They released 2 awesome EP’s along the 5 year journey to putting out their first full length “The Damaged Ones”. On a personal note, I have to say that most of my favorite songs are on the EP’s. That’s just me. As for the album, there’s 0 bad songs. My ONLY complaint is that it’s so polished and smooth that the energy of their live show, which was somewhat present on the EP’s, is missing. The plus side is that the album does sound great, the songs are great, and that the only way to really amplify the experience IS to just go see them live.

They’re loud as fuck. They crack funny and lame jokes at their own expense. More than likely, you’re going to see vocalist Ron Underwood aka Thunderwood do some crazy shit or come out in the crowd and make sure your head is bobbing and your body is moving. No matter what band they open for, they will do everything they can to make sure you have a good time and that you will remember them. I’ve seen them enough times to know.

While you can easily compare them to Powerman 5000, Dope, and Orgy – It wouldn’t really be fair to just throw that out there. They do have their own twist on this electronic metal style and they do it with attitude.

It’s been a long road to get to this point, but now that they’ve hit it, it can only get better from here. Surely album #2 shouldn’t be another 5 years in the future!

Standout tracks: “The Damaged Ones”, “New God”, “Naked”, “Lies”, “Goodbye”, “Filthy”
