Metal band Edguy have announced that they’ll be releasing ‘Monuments’. The 25th anniversary of the album will be out July 14 via Nuclear Blast. It will be a 2-CD/DVD-package, which will include new music, their best songs of the last 25 years, and old rarities that have never been published before. It will also feature a DVD that will include an entire show from their ‘Hellfire Club’ tour in 2004 as well as the complete collection of the band’s video clips. The limited edition will include an extensive coffee-table book containing material from throughout the entire history of the band.
Edguy formed in Fulda, Germany in 1992. Their lyrical themes over the years have included metaphysical or social themes, dictation by the church, and dangers of modern civilization. They’ve released ten studio albums to date.
